Regulatory & Trade Compliance

Audit-Ready. Fully Documented. Bank-Grade.

Basilio Trading Co. maintains a complete compliance framework aligned with Canadian federal export regulations, CETA preferential trade provisions, and the documentary requirements of Tier-1 Canadian financial institutions. Every transaction is structured to withstand procurement audit and counterparty due diligence.

Governing Frameworks

CETA

Canada–European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement

All eligible commodity exports to EU member states are structured under CETA preferential tariff provisions. Basilio Trading Co. maintains current knowledge of Rules of Origin requirements, EUR.1 movement certificate procedures, and the Registered Exporter (REX) system. Shipments are documented to qualify for preferential duty treatment at EU ports of entry.

CFIA

Canadian Food Inspection Agency — Export Certification

All agricultural commodity exports are processed under the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's Export Certificate Programme. Basilio Trading Co. works directly with CFIA-accredited inspection bodies to obtain phytosanitary certificates, grade certificates, and commodity-specific export permits required by destination-country import authorities. Documentation is prepared to meet the full requirements of the importing country's National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO).

CBCA

Canada Business Corporations Act — Federal Incorporation

Basilio Trading Co. is incorporated as a Federal Corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act. The corporation maintains a registered office, a current Annual Return filing with Corporations Canada, and a Certificate of Incorporation available for counterparty due diligence. Directors and officers are registered and publicly searchable through the Corporations Canada database.

FINTRAC

Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada

As a firm engaged in international commodity trade and cross-border financial transactions, Basilio Trading Co. maintains compliance with FINTRAC reporting obligations under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act. Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) procedures are applied to all counterparties prior to transaction execution.
